HEALTH4CHILDREN
Health4Children is the non-profit initiative through which I pursue my commitment to the health of children and families.
It holds a special meaning for me because it grew from my desire to complement my professional work with a commitment through which I can put my knowledge, skills, and time at the service of others, contributing to prevention and health promotion from childhood.
It also reflects one of the goals I value most in life: to be useful to others through what I know and what I can do, translating scientific knowledge into practical tools that can help children and families build balanced eating habits and a healthy lifestyle, day by day.
Health4Children also includes my book Bambini a tavola. Quasi un gioco! (Children at the Table. Almost a Game!), created in support of IRST and introduced by Professor Dino Amadori, then Director of the Institute. The book offers practical guidance on children’s nutrition throughout the day, with examples, recipes, tips, and strategies to help them enjoy healthy food.
In 2016, I carried out the BATMAN Project – Bambini A Tavola with IRST, a scientific study involving children living with overweight or obesity and their families, designed to explore the difficulties families encounter when putting a healthy lifestyle into practice.
That first experience led to several health education and digital communication projects, developed with the Istituto Oncologico Romagnolo (IOR) and with the contribution of many colleagues throughout Italy, including “IOR Mangio sano, con più gusto!” and “Sano, giusto e con gusto!”.
The latter involved more than one hundred dietitians and combined digital resources, educational materials, and activities for children, families, and schools. The study evaluating the project was published in 2026 in the international scientific journal Nutrients.
These initiatives share one objective: to make scientific knowledge accessible and applicable to everyday life, promoting balanced and sustainable nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles from childhood.
My heartfelt thanks go to the many people who have placed their trust in me and have contributed to and participated in these initiatives over the years. It is the strength of this network that allows Health4Children to continue growing.
